Central Clean & Green Singapore Carnival, I-Love Performing Competition

In November and December last year, Julka Phoenix from 3 Charity, volunteered at an orphanage in Batam, where she donated time and money to the less fortunate children. She also participated in the Central Clean & Green Singapore Carnival as well as the I-Love Performing Competition, where she received Certificates of Participation. We would like to commend Julka for her involvement in the events!

14th Singapore Malaysia Bilingual Olympiad (SMBO)


This competition is organised by Nanyang Girls' High School in collaboration with Thumbs Up (SPH). It aims to promote effective bilingualism in English and Mandarin. As there are participants from Singapore and Malaysia, it is also a platform for friendly international competition.


Cao Shiqi has won a Top 30 placing in the Singapore-Malaysia Schools Bilingual Olympiad Preliminary Round. She will enjoy special advantages if she decides to apply DSA to Nanyang Girls' High School, the school gives special consideration to the top 30 of this competition.

NewsMaker Awards Singapore 2017

Out of the 40 schools that participated in the NewsMaker Awards Singapore 2017, Haig Girls' School emerged as the Gold Award winner. The challenge of the competition was to create a video on any one of your school values. Temasek Junior College THINK© Challenge 2017

In this competition, each group was asked to solve one authentic science problem that is designed based on the THINK© pedagogy, which is an adaptation of Problem-based Learning (PBL). It required them to utilize higher order thinking skills such as critical and analytical skills. HGS beat 27 teams to emerge 3rd place, bagging the Bronze trophy.

Brilliant Talent Discovery Awards

Chen Jing from 2 Kindness participated in the Brilliant Talent Discovery Awards 2017. It is an international music competition that aims to discover artists of outstanding level. This competition is open to all nationalities and ages and Chen Jing has won the Gold Award in Piano. She was also selected to perform for the Winner's Gala Concert held at Esplanade Recital Hall on 7 April 2017.

Dancesport Competition 2017

Felicia Bernholtz from 4 Charity took part in a Dancesport Competition 2017. She participated in the events for Under 10 Solo Jive Medalist and Under 10 Solo Cha Cha Medalist. 

She qualified for the semi-finals for the Under 10 Solo Cha Cha Medalist Category amongst 59 other participants and emerged as the 7th place winner under the event Under 10 Solo Jive Medalist amongst 20 other competitors.

Singapore Youth Festival 2017 Art Exhibition

28 students from Art D3T2 had participated in the Singapore Youth Festival 2017 Art Exhibition earlier this year. They have put in a lot of effort into creating their artworks and displayed the school values of commitment and creativity throughout the whole art making process.

Category B pupils (P3 and P4) have received the Certificates of Recognition (Special Mention) as their artwork has demonstrated unique qualities and creative interpretation of the theme for the exhibition and thus conferred the special mention award. Category A (P1 and P2) and Category C (P5 and P6) pupils have received certificates of participation to recognise their efforts in taking part in the Art exhibition.

Anza Athletics 2016-2017


ANZA Athletics is about developing fitness through a safe and healthy sport. In addition to improving the individual athletic performances, a key aim is for the children to develop a sense of sportsmanship by supporting each other in their efforts. East Zone Primary Schools Netball Championships 2017

The Junior Team achieved 1st Runner up in the East Zone Primary Schools Netball Championships 2017. There were 16 schools in the East Zone Division and they fought hard and achieved 1st Runner up. 

The sportsmanship award is presented to Siti Aishah Siregar Binte Sahat Siregar in the East Zone Netball Championships 2017 Junior division and Sharifah Khadijah Binte Syed Mustafa Alsagoff in the Senior Division. These girls displayed good sportsmanship and respect to officials and opposing teams, even in the face of adverse outcomes. They also demonstrated cooperation and respect in dealing with her coaches and teammates.
