Our School Rules & Discipline Policy
1. BE PUNCTUAL FOR ALL SCHOOL PROGRAMMES AND ACTIVITIES
1.1 |
Students must be punctual for all school activities. They must be punctual for flag-raising which commences at 7.30 a.m.. |
1.2 |
Students must be present on all school days.

1.3 |
Students must not leave the school premises before they are dismissed for the day, including afternoon activities such as CCA and Booster classes, without permission from the form teachers. |
2. BE HONEST, COURTEOUS AND WELL-BEHAVED AT ALL TIMES
2.1 |
Students who are Singapore citizens must sing the National Anthem and
take the National Pledge. Students will take the Pledge with the right
fist placed over the heart.

2.2 |
All students must be courteous and kind to one another. Students are to
be respectful and greet all school staff and elders.
|
2.3 |
Students must not frighten, threaten or bully others online or offline. |
2.4 |
Students are not allowed to have in their possession any weapon. They
are also not allowed to bring any weapon-like item which can be used or
intended to be used to cause harm to others.

2.5 |
Students should not engage in buying or selling of things either online
or in person to schoolmates.
|
2.6 |
Students must not engage in dishonest acts e.g., lying, cheating and forging
signatures.
|
2.7 |
Students must not take any item belonging to others without first obtaining
their permission. All students are responsible for their personal belongings.
|
2.8 |
Students are not to use electronic devices (smartphones, smartwatches, etc.) during school hours.
|
2.9 |
Students are not to bring to school any unauthorised electronic, communication,
entertainment or gaming device capable of capturing, storing, displaying
and/or transmitting visual, audio or verbal information.

2.10 |
All students under the age of 13 are not allowed to set up their own Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat or TikTok, etc accounts.

2.11 |
Students are not allowed to use motorised or non-motorised modes of transport (e.g: scooters, skateboards, hover boards, unicycles, etc.) within the school compound. If students use these to to travel to and from home, they will need to park these vehicles at the designated point upon arrival in school. |
3. BE PROPERLY ATTIRED AND BEHAVE LIKE A LADY
3.1 |
Students are to be in the prescribed school uniform for all school activities.
Modification to the uniform is not allowed. Only white shoes (with no coloured
lines or logos) and white socks covering the ankles are to be worn. High-cut
shoes are not permitted.

3.2 |
PE attire must only be worn during PE lessons or CCAs unless otherwise
stated. PE t-shirts must be neatly tucked in.

3.3 |
Students must not put on make-up, keep long nails or use nail polish.
|
3.4 |
Students must always be neat and tidy.
|
3.5 |
All students in school uniform must conduct themselves like a lady both within and outside the school to uphold the good image of the school. The uniform should always be worn with pride and honour. |

4. BE PROUD OF MY WORK
4.1 |
Students must complete and hand in assignments or projects on time and to the best of their ability. |
5. KEEP THE SCHOOL CLEAN AND LITTER FREE
5.1 |
Students must throw all litter into the bins provided.

5.2 |
Students must use the recycling bins for items that can be recycled.
|
5.3 |
Students must keep the toilets clean.
|
5.4 |
Students must eat and/or drink only in the school canteen.
|
5.5 |
Students must take good care of school property. |
Assessment / Examination Rules & Regulations
1. |
Students must be punctual for all examinations.
|
2. |
Students must not communicate throughout the examination.
|
3. |
Students must not bring mobile phones, smartwatches or any other electronic devices into the examination room. |
4. |
There will no be no make-up assessment for all written and listening comprehension assessments unless specified by the school. |
5. |
Students must not cheat, attempt to cheat or help others to cheat during
all assessments/examinations.

6. |
Students who are ill should not be in school for tests and examinations.
If a student has a temperature of 38 C and above, she will not be allowed
to sit for the test / exam and her parents will be asked to take her home.
If a student misses a test / exam because of illness, she needs to submit
a medical certificate upon her return to school.

In the event of absenteeism (supported by valid Medical Certificate) for
all school assessments, marks will be pro-rated accordingly.

8. |
Candidates from Primary 3 to Primary 6 can only use 2B pencil to shade the Optical Answer Sheet (OAS) during the examinations. If candidates fail to shade the OAS properly (e.g. double shading, not shading at all, skipping of questions in the shading), these OAS will not be awarded any marks. |
If found breaking school or exam rules, disciplinary action taken could include the following: warning, counselling, deduction of marks, performing community work, close monitoring, detention, suspension and any other actions deemed appropriate by the Principal.
